September 5, 1993 Claire is 22 and Henry is 30: Henry and Claire are at Henry's apartment hanging out while Henry is searching through a medical book looking for medication that will keep him from time traveling during their wedding. He finds a couple options but the side effects aren't good. He doesn't want to take the risk of time traveling though. He is in a pickle and doesn't know what to do. He knows that there is a good neuroleptic called risperdal but it doesn't get commercially marketed until 1994.
September 6, 1993 Henry is 30: Henry is sitting on his friend's door step in Humboldt Park waiting for him to come home. His friend, Ben, makes drugs. He doesn't make bad drugs like cocaine of meth, he makes drugs that help people coap with the side effects of chemo and stuff like that. He is an AIDS victim so he needs ways to coap too. Henry asks him to make him the risperdal drug and he says he will give it a try but can't promise anything. Henry is about to leave when Ben hands him a bottle of 3 pills, he says it is an endorphin stabilizer combined with an antidepressant. Henry takes the pill and after a couple minutes starts to feel really good. The whole world around him slows down and he is lovin it.
September 27, 1993 Claire is 22 and Henry is 30: Claire is on her way to Henry's apartment because they are going to the opera tonight. She is already running late and Henry won't pick up his phone, so she is forced to go inside to see what is the matter. She gets in his apartment and all the lights are off; but she hears a little whimper...it's Henry. He is lying on the floor unconscious. She immediately calls 911 and then calls Ben, and he freaks out. He says the drug he took is mimicking Parkinson's and he needs dopamine asap. Once they get to the hospital Henry is stable but unconscious. He has a breathing tube and an ivy, Claire is so worried about him. Ben shows up and Claire begs him to cut Henry off with the drugs. She knows they aren't going to work, so Ben agrees.
