The Delight of Singing in the Rain
In this excerpt from Singing in the Rain, Gene Kelly’s explosive footwork enhances his passionate attitude towards dancing.  His incredible facial expressions really draw me in and make me feel like part of the production.  The tone of the scene comes across as comical because him and his dance partner are disobeying their boss, which is entertaining to the audience.  When Gene Kelly sings, a sensation of majestic pleasantness thrives through your whole body.  Through out the whole scene it is obvious that Gene Kelly is very dedicated to his work just by watching his body language and his facial expressions.  Their satiric dance moves thoroughly highlight the absurdity of the whole routine by somewhat mocking their boss.  Nothing like this would really happen like this in our daily lives; but if it did that would be a pretty awesome world to live in.
