TIme Traveler's Wife Pages 146-162

December 15, 1991 Claire is 20: Claire is on her way home from Henry's apartment.  She is enjoying the fresh air and the lightly covered snowy sidewalks.  She can't wait to get home so she can take a long hot bath while reading the New York Times.  When she gets into her apartment she finds Gomez sitting on the couch chain smoking.  The room is so smoke filled she is afraid the fire alarms will go off. She ends up talking to Gomez for a long time about Henry.  Gomez is still confused about all the time traveling stuff; but Claire tries to explain it to him.
That night Claire and Henry go out to a dance club to have a good time.  In the beginning they were dancing and having a great time, they went to sit down and take a break and Henry got up to go get them drinks.  Claire just sat there and saved their seats but after a half hour he still wasn't back.  Claire went up to go find him; she found him leaning over another girl and it looked like they were kissing.  She got closer and figured out they were fighting... she had no idea who the girl was or what they were fighting about.  Later she finds out her name is Ingrid and she was Henry's ex-girlfriend.  She claims they were engaged but Henry says differently.  Henry said she was just a pass time until Claire and him met in the present.  Ingrid took the break up hard and tries to tell Claire that he is not a good person.   Claire doesn't believe her but debates whether or not to ask Henry about it his bad behavior.
While they are at the club Henry's future self shows up.  Claire knows this Henry better and confides in him.  He looks the exact same as the younger Henry except his hair is short and a little more grey.  The future Henry gives Claire advice to go talk to the present Henry.  She does and they work it all out.
