Time Traveler's Wife 264-280

October 23, 1993 Henry is 30 and Claire is 22:  It is Claire and Henry's wedding day and they are staying in a cozy little hotel on the South Beach, in South Haven.  Henry wakes up at 6 am, and no one is awake.  He decides to go for a run.  As soon as he steps outside it starts pouring down rain.  That doesn't stop him though, he starts to run but can barley get up to his normal pace because the wind is so strong.  A short while after, Claire wakes up.  She sneaks into Henry's room to see him and he is in the bathroom taking off his soaking clothes.  He is shocked to see her because he thinks it is bad luck to see the bride before the wedding, but Claire disagrees.  She needed to get away from all the chaos going on in her room with her mother.  After they spend some time together she sneaks back into her room with her mom and her hair stylist waiting for her.  Claire gets her hair and make up done and looks stunning.  Finally it is time for them to head over to the church.  Henry ends up time traveling into the future.  At the alter no one notices that a future Henry is standing there except for Claire.  Their wedding went great and had an awesome reception.  A couple days later the normal Henry returns to the present and they head over to the court house to get legally married.  Charisse and Gomez are their witnesses.
I loved this part of the book.  I love weddings and it really felt like there was a ton of excitement going on the whole time.  I haven't been to very many weddings but this one really seemed magical.
