I went to Young Life tonight for the first time since before winter break. I really enjoy it and am so glad to be a part of it. All of the leaders there are so kind and unjudgemental, they make you feel safe and at ease with yourself. You can talk to them about anything, the are great listeners and give excellent advice. My friends Amy and Jenna Banas got me hooked on Young Life way back in 9th grade. Even in middle school i went to Wildlife, a youth group for middle schoolers. Being in the presence of so many Godly people really helps your spirituality grow and develop. Since i got involved in Young Life I have gotten a lot of my friends involved in it to. We all go to it together, every Monday night from 7:30-9, it's something we can all do together and we all look forward to it every week. Chris Bishop is the main leader and he is an amazing guy. He lives for Young Life. He quit his main job in order to deal with Young Life and all of its followers all the time. He truly cares about everyone there and will do anything for them. This is how Young Life rolls: You get there and you socialize with everyone for about fifteen minutes, then you all get into a big group and sing two or three songs. Then we play a game or two. After the games we usually sing again and then we all sit down and listen to one of the leaders talk. Every week has a different message that the leaders are trying to get across. The talks are really inspirational and usually you get to hear stories and experiences from that person's life. If you ever have the chance to go to Young Life, take it, it is an amazing experience that will be with you forever.
