The book continues with Henry traveling back and time but never lets us know if he stops in the present and takes a break of traveling. The next 20 pages are mainly about him and Claire together in the field behind Claire's house.
Claire is getting older and her and Henry are closer than ever. Even though she is only 12 and he is thirty something they act like they are in love. The thing that gets me is that Henry and Claire are married but Claire doesn't know it yet. You see, Henry is back in the past experiencing Claire as a child, in Claire's future she will be married to Henry but her future is Henry's present. It's really confusing but if you were actually reading the book you would understand.
All of the encounters Henry and Claire experience together seem awkward. They are kind of like flirting but not really. I bet it would be really hard for Henry to be with Claire right now because she has no knowledge that they get married. He is like all over her until he realizes he needs to control himself and not give away any secrets. During a chapter about Claire she is at a slumber party and they play a weird game that is supposed to tell you things you don't know. One of her friends asked the game a question about Claire, she says "Who likes Claire?" The bored spells out H-E-N-R-Y. She is mortified, she doesn't want her friends finding out about him, but she can't believe that he likes her. Then someone asked "Who is Henry?" The bored answered with H-U-S-B-A-N-D. Yet again Claire's face turned bright red. All of her friends wanted answers but she couldn't even give them any.
I really liked this part of the book, it was interesting yet informing. I still am confused about how the whole time traveling thing works, but i bet that gets clarified pretty soon.
