Gossip Girl Page 39-80

It is a Monday morning and all the girls, kindergarten through twelfth grade, were in the auditorium listening to Mrs. McLean give some announcements. Mrs. M, as the girls called her, was very personable.  She wanted the best for her students and if one girl was slacking she would do whatever was needed to get that particular girl back on the right track.  Suddenly the door busted open and Serena van der Woodsen came running in.  Her hair was wind blown, her uniform looked worn and torn, and her face was flushed from running outside for twelve blocks.  Still, she looked perfect.  All of her classmates welcomed her back happily except Blair, Katie, and Isabel.  After that day at school Blair was hosting a dinner party.  Since all of her friends came from richer families all of their families were close friends.  Unfortunately that meant Serena's family was invited.  At the dinner party Blair couldn't help but notice how Nate looked at Serena with such amazement.  Nate was Blair's boyfriend but secretly he was in love with Serena, every guy was.  When Serena left for boarding school Blair didn't have to worry about competing for Nate, but now that Serena was back Blair was going to have to try hard to win Nate over.  What Blair doesn't know is that Serena and Nate hooked up before Serena left for boarding school last summer, so it looks like Blair is in for a rough couple of months.
