Tuesdays Response

Indi Cowie is a phenomenal athlete.  She is only 16 years old and already holds several records in the Guinness Book of World Records.  No other teenage girl in the whole world can do what she does with such "technique and determination."  She has been playing soccer since she was a little girl and has always dreamed of playing at the University of North Carolina.  She has already gotten a full ride there, just to play soccer.   She isn't like any normal teenager though.  She doesn't have a lot of friends.  She says that her best friend is her younger sister, and that she isn't the "most popular" girl in school.  She did her school talent show and her name got misspelled in the event program.  When she was performing no one knew who she was, but everyone loved her performance.  She even got called a hero by another performer.  She was born in the US but her parents are from Scotland.  When Indi was 14 their whole family went back to Scotland for a semester and Indi got the chance to play on The Celtics womens soccer team.  She said it was the experience of her lifetime, she absolutely loved it.
I listened to a few of the high school interviews and the girl that I most relate to is Elivia Freeman.  She wants to major in the exact same thing as me.  Also she doesn't want to be wealthy, but well off.  That is exactly how i feel.  Some of the student's answers didn't make sense to me though.  Like a marijuana baker? Who chooses that for their career?  Also, some students dreams are unrealistic.  Everyone says that they are going to grow up to be a fancy rich doctor, or marry a fancy rich doctor; but in reality that is probably the toughest job out there.  It is not for everyone.
I see myself at Purdue University after high school. I want to be a nurse, probably a pediatric nurse. I love kids and i would love to spend the rest of my life helping them.
